We started our centennial tribute to Vincent Price on May 17, 2011, here. This monster marathon was our part in the annual Countdown to Halloween. It crawled along until it breathed its last on March 17, 2012.

Very funny limerick correction, though. At least I know you're out there. That's it--I was testing you.
Thanks to my crack readers (not my crack -smoking self), I’ve corrected my first, and errant version of this limerick. The laughable original version follows.
Day the Earth Still Stood

To our world came that Klaatu galoot
Unannounced, in a silvery suit
His spring-loaded gadget
Was bound to cause agit
Any wonder the soldiers would shoot?
